Chelsea went on to win the match 6-0, with Gilchrist scoring his first-ever goal for the club. The youngster celebrated as if he had scored the winning goal.
Chelsea are now ninth in the Premier League and will be looking to extend their unbeaten run when they face Manchester United on Saturday.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino said he was frustrated by the dispute over who would take the penalty.
