Devil Returns as 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' Officially Moves Forward

Miranda Priestly is Back

After countless years of speculation and a delightful on-stage reunion at this year's Screen Actors Guild Awards, The Devil Wears Prada is finally getting a sequel. Disney has greenlit the project, with original writer Aline Brosh McKenna and producer Wendy Finnerman returning.

About the Original Movie

Based on the book of the same name by Lauren Weisberger, The Devil Wears Prada follows Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), a recent college graduate who lands a job as an assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the terrifying editor-in-chief of Runway magazine. The film became a critical and commercial success, grossing over $326 million worldwide.

In 2006's The Devil Wears Prada, Streep's character dismisses her two devoted assistants, played by Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt. Now, it seems that Miranda Priestly is coming back for another walk-through.
